Presentation instructions
Guidelines for presenters - Instruction for speakers:
- Official language: English
- Preferred Presentation File Format: Microsoft Office PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) or Adobe .pdf
- Use standard fonts such as Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri, or Verdana which will be installed on the session room computers. If you use any unique fonts, your presentation may not operate correctly on the session room computer.
- Verification of proper performance of the presentation in the lecture hall at the presentation laptop is highly recommended, particularly if video or animation is included in the presentation.
Presentation material submission:
- Please bring your presentation files either on a USB drive or send via email one day before your presentation to avoid congestion to the following email address: gbanfalvi@diamond-congress.hu.
- Presenters of the first day should hand over their files to the technician as soon as they arrive, unless if they’ve already sent it via email. The availability of the presentations will be checked during the registration process by our colleagues.
- Presenters will not be allowed to use personal laptops to avoid problems with computer-projector compatibility.
Allocated presentation time:
- Please check your presentation schedule and session on the website.
- It is important that you arrive at your session room at least 10 minutes before the start of the session to make sure that everything is prepared for your presentation. The chairman and co-chairman of the session as well as the dedicated technician will be available to help you.
- The dedicated time for Oral Presentation: 22 min including questions and answers.
Please find the details of your session on the website, and ensure that the length of your presentation matches with the time available to you as indicated above. Chairs have been asked to be strict in all of our sessions about time compliance to avoid over-run.
Presentation equipment:
- Presenters will be available to control their presentation slides by using a wireless remote pointer at the podium including a laser pointer.
- Our technical staff will be available to assist with any technical issues.
- 1 timer will be available for the presenter to support keeping the dedicated time frame.
- In Tramontana room control monitor will be available for the presenters, highlighting identical content with the main screen. (In Nevera I. control monitor will not be available due to size of the room).
General guideline for poster presenters
Presenting a poster is a great way to visually share your research work and expertise with a wide range of delegates who are interested to learn about what you have done and also give you positive feedback. The guidelines below give you some tips to help you design and develop your poster and how to display it for presentation at our event. All posters will be displayed in Nevera II.
Poster presentation schedule:
Posters should be affixed and removed by the presenters themselves in time (if you need help, please ask the colleagues at the registration desks). All posters will be visible on Tuesday. Posters should be mounted until Tuesday 8:30 am the latest, on 8th of April and they have to be removed latest during the last coffee break (14:30-15:00) on Tuesday
Poster preparation
Poster Size: A0 Size (portrait oriented, 841 mm width x 1189 mm height). The poster title, author(s)’s name(s) and affiliation(s) should appear on the top. Posters should be readable to viewers from 1 meter away. For legibility, a minimum font size of 24 points is recommended.
Keep logos discrete and to a minimum. The preferred poster background is plain to ensure legibility. Before sending to print do not forget to proof read the poster yourself, and ask someone else to do the same, checking also for clarity.
The poster session will start officially right after the keynote speeches on Tuesday, it is recommended by the presenters to be available at their poster during the first coffee break on Tuesday (10:00-10:30). Presence in any other time frames is optional.
Please make sure to print your poster in advance and bring it with you. The organizers cannot take responsibility for printing the posters.
